Catching the Moon

Summary:  Tyrell knows that there's got to be something better than the world he and AJ live in.   A world that's constantly spinning out of control.  A world filled with violence and loss.  A world where survival means staying invisible to the teachers at school, the cool boys on the bus, and the mother who can sweep you up in a whirlwind of laughter or leave you abandoned on the roadside in the middle of the night.  In spite of the challenges each day presents, Tyrell is determined to find that "something better" -- if not for himself, then for his little brother.

Dark Sea Rising

Summary:  When Jacop and his father empty their fishing nets, they discover that they have captured a waterboy and his Glashtyn stallion.  Disaster strikes when a young dockhand ventures too close to the Glashtyn and falls within reach of the waterhorse's massive teeth.  More trouble ensues as people of Laurentstad demand a series of ransom payments from the waterboy’s parents.  And throughout it all, Jacop is caught in the conflicting tides of right and wrong -- of truth and lie.  Very loosely based on the Dutch legend of the All Saints' Day Flood, Dark Sea Rising is the story of Jacop and his relationships with his father, his friends, and two water creatures.  It’s the story of a town blinded by greed and fear and hate.  And, it’s the story of a boy asking hard questions about his identity and making choices that will change his life and his world forever.

Summary:   Jenna can’t sleep.  It’s hot.  It’s humid.  And, the mosquitos won’t leave her alone.  When she gets up in the night, she glimpses an eerie blue light hovering out in Sweetgum Swamp.  She tries to convince herself that it’s a colony of lightning bugs or some glowing swamp gas, but these ideas are quickly replaced by thoughts of ghosts.  The excitement builds when Jenna and her sister learn about a horde of treasure hidden somewhere on their grandmother’s property and hear rumors of a ghost searching the swamp for her long lost ring.  When things start disappearing from Jenna’s bedroom, she and her sister get busy discovering the secrets of Sweetgum Swamp.
